# Social Media Recruiting Tools: 20 Platforms, Grouped by the Job They Do

Twenty tools, each with a price the vendor publishes or a plain statement that it publishes none, the vendor's own URL, and the date we checked it. Sorted by the four different jobs this one phrase is sold against, because most bad purchases here are a tool bought for the wrong one.

[Jump to the 20 tools](https://recruitmentads.com/social-media-recruiting/tools#directory)[Take the nine questions into a demo](https://recruitmentads.com/social-media-recruiting/tools#how-to-choose)

Social media recruiting tools are the software employers use to run hiring campaigns on social channels: making the creative, publishing it, buying the media behind it, and catching the applicant at the other end. Four different jobs, sold under one phrase, which is why shortlists in this category so often compare things that do not compete.

This page lists twenty of them. Every entry carries a price the vendor publishes, quoted in its own currency and billing terms, or a plain statement that it publishes none, with the model named where the vendor names it. Every entry links to the page we took it from and the date we were there. Every entry also carries the thing it does not do.

We are one of the twenty. RecruitmentAds.com makes ad creative from a job post. It does not buy media, does not publish for you, and is not an applicant tracking system, and it sits in the same table as everyone else with the same three columns filled in.

## What social media recruiting tools do

Social media recruiting tools help employers turn open roles into social content, put that content in front of people who were not searching, and collect the applications it produces. Some cover one step. A few claim all four. None of them, on their own, decides whether the job is worth applying for.

The category is broader than the phrase suggests, and narrower than most vendors imply. A tool that writes captions and posts them to your company page is a social recruiting tool. So is a platform that spends six figures a month across job sites and social feeds. So is a video maker that reads a vacancy URL. They are not alternatives to each other, and buying one when you needed another is the most expensive mistake in this category.

Three things get counted here that should not be. An applicant tracking system stores and moves candidates; it is where the applicant lands, not what put the ad in the feed. A sourcing tool searches the public web for profiles and builds outbound lists; that is finding people, not advertising to them. A general social media scheduler queues posts for a marketing calendar; it will post your vacancy, but it knows nothing about a job. All three appear on lists under this phrase. None is evaluated below, and the exclusions section says why.

The useful question is not which tool is best. It is which of the four jobs you are actually short of.

## The four jobs social recruiting tools do

Every tool below does at least one of these four things well and treats the other three as features. Work out which one is your bottleneck before you take a demo, because a demo will make all four look solved.

1. Make the creative

Turn a vacancy into something worth putting in a feed: video, statics, copy, in the formats each placement needs. This is the job most employers are actually short of, because a media budget with nothing good to run is just a faster way to spend it.

You know it is your bottleneck when campaigns wait on design, when the same three images run for every role, or when nobody can name the last ad they were proud of.

Buy a distribution platform instead and you will get very efficient delivery of creative you do not have.

2. Publish it

Get the content out on a schedule, across company pages, careers pages, recruiter profiles and employees, without someone doing it by hand every morning. Usually driven by a job feed from the applicant tracking system.

You know it is your bottleneck when jobs go live and nothing gets posted for a week, or when posting depends on one person being at their desk.

Buy a creative tool instead and you will produce lovely assets that nobody publishes.

3. Buy the media

Put budget behind the content and steer it: targeting, bidding, always-on campaigns, and the reporting that tells you what a hire cost. This is where the money goes and where the largest vendors in the category live. Distribution tools bid your budget across job sites, which is [programmatic job advertising](https://recruitmentads.com/programmatic-job-advertising) rather than social.

You know it is your bottleneck when organic reach has flattened, when hard-to-fill roles get no applicants at all, or when nobody can say what a channel costs per hire.

Buy this without solving creative first and you are bidding for attention with an ad that does not hold it.

4. Catch the applicant

Landing pages, mobile-first apply flows, screening questions, chat, and the write-back into whatever system your recruiters live in. Whatever the tool posts, the click lands on a career page, and that page decides whether the spend was worth it.

You know it is your bottleneck when click-through is fine and applications are not, or when applicants drop out of a form that was built for a desktop in 2015.

Buy media without fixing this and you pay full price for traffic that leaves at the form.

Most teams are short of one. A few are short of two. Nobody is short of all four at once, and any vendor telling you otherwise is describing their price list rather than your problem.

## Social media recruiting tools compared

20 tools, grouped by the job each one is primarily bought for. 6 publish a price on their own site. The rest do not, and rather than leave a blank we have written what they publish instead, which is usually a model without a number.

### How this list was built

- Every entry was checked against the vendor's own website, not a review aggregator, a directory farm or a press release. Where a fact only existed second hand, it is not in the table.

- The vendor record behind these entries was verified on 5 August 2026. The three published prices quoted as figures were re-checked on 2 September 2026 and had not changed.

- No vendor paid to be here, and no vendor was asked. There are no affiliate links on this page. The [compare pages](https://recruitmentads.com/compare) put two named tools side by side on the same criteria.

- We are entry one of twenty, and our own row carries the same three limitations we asked of everyone else. Take the rest of the page with that in mind, then go and check the sources.

- Takes in

A vacancy URL or pasted vacancy text. Logo, colours, employer name and role details are read from it.

- Puts out

A finished ad set per role: video in 9:16, 4:5 and 1:1 plus static derivatives, built inside templates marketing has locked. Standard MP4s you download and run in your own ad accounts.

- Best for

Employers and agencies whose bottleneck is creative volume: many roles, one brand, and a marketing team that will not hand over the templates.

- What it does not do

We do not buy media, do not publish to your channels for you, and are not an applicant tracking system. You export the files and run them where you already buy.

### Catch the applicant0 of 20

No tool in this table is primarily bought for this job. 6 of the 20 cover it alongside the job they are bought for: [HireLab](https://recruitmentads.com/social-media-recruiting/tools#hirelab), [Wonderkind](https://recruitmentads.com/social-media-recruiting/tools#wonderkind), [Gaia](https://recruitmentads.com/social-media-recruiting/tools#gaia), [Reelist](https://recruitmentads.com/social-media-recruiting/tools#reelist), [VONQ EQO](https://recruitmentads.com/social-media-recruiting/tools#vonq), [Joveo](https://recruitmentads.com/social-media-recruiting/tools#joveo). The software built for this job on its own is an applicant tracking system, and the exclusions section below says why none is evaluated here.

Every vendor named above has a longer, sourced comparison on the [alternatives pages](https://recruitmentads.com/alternatives), including where we lose.

## How to choose social recruiting software

Nine questions, in the order they save you the most money. Take them into the demo. Every one of them is a thing no page ranking for this query currently answers, which is also why they are the questions vendors are least prepared for.

9 questions, in the order they save you money

Copy all nine questions

Nine questions, in the order they save you the most money. Copy the set, or take one at a time.

1. Which of the four jobs does this actually do?

   Copy

Ask the vendor to name one and rank the others. A tool that claims all four equally is describing an ambition. The honest ones will tell you which module is newest.

2. What does it take in, and does that match what we have?

   Copy

A vacancy URL, pasted text, an ATS feed, an XML file, or a person filming on a phone. If it needs a feed and your jobs live in a spreadsheet, the integration project is the real purchase.

3. What comes out, and in which formats?

   Copy

Video, statics, copy, or a live campaign. Then the shapes: 9:16, 4:5, 1:1, 16:9. A tool that only exports 16:9 cannot fill a vertical placement, and the specs section below has the figures to hold it to.

4. Do we hold the files afterwards?

   Copy

Managed services often keep the creative inside their platform. If you cannot download an MP4 and run it in your own ad account, you are renting the output as well as the tool.

5. Is ad spend included, on top, or the entire model?

   Copy

Three different contracts hide behind one monthly figure. Ask for the all-in cost of one filled role and watch how long the answer takes.

6. Who can break the brand?

   Copy

Locked templates, an approved asset library and an approval step are the difference between recruiters self-serving and marketing policing. Ask to see what happens when a recruiter tries to change a colour. Template libraries are the cheapest way to start, and the [recruitment video templates page](https://recruitmentads.com/recruitment-video/templates) shows what a governed one looks like.

7. Which systems does it name, in writing?

   Copy

Integration counts are marketing numbers. Ask for the list, then find yours on it. One tool in this table claims more than forty integrations on one page and more than fifty on another.

8. What does it report, and against what?

   Copy

Impressions and clicks are the easy half. Applications, cost per application and cost per hire are the half that survives a budget review.

9. What is the exit?

   Copy

Contract length, notice period, and what you keep. Annual commitments with setup fees are normal in this category. Discovering that after signature is not.

Our own plans and the 90-day pilot are published on the [pricing page](https://recruitmentads.com/pricing), in the same detail we asked of everyone else.

## The output check every social recruiting tool should pass

Whatever a tool costs, it earns its place by producing files the platforms will actually show. These are the figures that decide that, each one taken from the platform's own documentation with the date we read it. Not one page ranking for this query states any of them.

| Placement | What the platform publishes | Type | Source | Full spec |

Meta states the vertical safe zone in its own words, and the wording matters because it is a recommendation rather than a rule:

> Consider leaving at least 14% of the top, 35% of the bottom and 6% on each side of your asset free from text, logos or other important creative elements.

[Meta Ads Guide, Instagram Reels video ](https://www.facebook.com/business/ads-guide/update/video/instagram-reels), read 5 August 2026.

Two practical consequences. A tool that exports one aspect ratio cannot serve a feed and a Reel from the same render, so you will be re-cutting by hand. And a tool that centres your logo and call to action will put both underneath the platform's own buttons on vertical placements, which is why safe zones are worth arguing about before signature rather than after.

Drop your own file into the free ad mockup tool and it renders the real platform chrome around it, with the documented safe zones drawn in.

## What the output actually looks like

Software in this category is sold on screenshots of dashboards. The thing you are buying is the file that comes out of it. These four are ads our own product made for real employers, shown inside the placements they run in, one for each of the four shapes in the table above.

Dunhill: 1:1 square hiring ad for a cleared Release Engineer role, LinkedIn

Made with RecruitmentAds.com. 1:1, shown inside the real placement chrome.

Randstad: 4:5 feed ad for a scooter courier role, Instagram

Made with RecruitmentAds.com. 4:5, shown inside the real placement chrome.

Vytech: 9:16 vertical ad for a welder and fabricator role, TikTok

Made with RecruitmentAds.com. 9:16, shown inside the real placement chrome.

Haldu Groep: 16:9 landscape hiring ad in Polish for metal stud fitters, YouTube

Made with RecruitmentAds.com. 16:9, shown inside the real placement chrome.

No performance figures are attached to any of them, because we do not hold a verified number for these four. Everywhere else on this SERP a claim like that would arrive with a percentage and no source.

[Fifteen recruitment ad examples](https://recruitmentads.com/examples), eight of them ours, are taken apart hook by hook.

- The [LinkedIn ad examples](https://recruitmentads.com/examples/linkedin) show what square and 4:5 creative looks like once the feed chrome sits on top of it.

- The [Facebook ad examples](https://recruitmentads.com/examples/facebook) do the same for feed, Reels and Stories placements.

- For vertical work, the [Instagram ad examples](https://recruitmentads.com/examples/instagram) show Reels and Stories with the safe zones drawn on.

## Best social media recruiting tools by hiring situation

There is no best tool in this category, because there is no single job. There is a best starting point for a given situation, and it is usually the job group rather than the individual product.

Volume hiring across many locations

Your bottleneck is media and reach, not taste. Start in the media-buying group, and make cost per application the only number in the first review. Then check whether the creative is yours to keep.

One brand, a hundred roles a year, and a marketing team that will not budge

Your bottleneck is creative volume under governance. Start in the creative group and filter hard on locked templates, approved assets and an approval step. Everything else is negotiable.

A small team hiring occasionally

Your bottleneck is time. A published self-serve price and a free trial matter more than feature depth, and the free tools section below will cover more of it than you expect.

An agency or RPO running campaigns for other people's brands

Your bottleneck is multi-brand separation. Filter on workspaces, per-client permissions and white labelling first, price second, because the wrong architecture is a rebuild rather than an upgrade.

Employer brand work rather than a specific vacancy

This is not really a job-ad purchase. Governance is an employer brand question before it is a software question, which [employer branding video](https://recruitmentads.com/employer-branding/video) goes into.

You already buy job-board media and want social added

Job-board distribution is a different purchase with its own vendors, and [programmatic job advertising](https://recruitmentads.com/programmatic-job-advertising) software covers it properly. Add social creative to what you already run before you add another platform.

If the only job you need doing is video, compare [recruitment video](https://recruitmentads.com/recruitment-video) software instead of a whole social stack.

## Free social media recruiting tools

The most common related search on this query is for free ones, and most pages answer it with a list of free trials. Three things here are genuinely free, with no email gate and no account:

The ad mockup tool

Renders the real platform chrome around your own file, for seven platforms and eleven placements, with each platform's documented safe zones drawn on. It is the fastest way to find out whether creative you already paid for survives the placement.

[Open the ad mockup tool](https://recruitmentads.com/free-tools/ad-mockup)

The job ad template

Most social creative starts from a job ad, and the free job ad template has the wording already written. Nine blocks, six filled versions, downloadable in Word or PDF.

[Take the job ad template](https://recruitmentads.com/job-ad-template)

The employee photo release form

If your plan involves colleagues on camera, and the good plans usually do, you need permission on file before the first shot. The form is free and editable.

[Take the release form](https://recruitmentads.com/resources/employee-photo-release-form)

The [free tools we run](https://recruitmentads.com/free-tools) are listed together, with no email gate on any of them.

What is not free: the work in the directory above. The cheapest published subscription built for hiring is €99 a month billed annually, and the cheapest published per-campaign price is €490. The general design and video products in that table do have free tiers and plans from $19 a month, which is a fair reason to start there if the budget is genuinely zero, as long as you know what you are giving up: nothing in them reads a vacancy, and brand control is a paid tier.

## What we left out, and what we are

Four categories turn up on lists under this phrase and are not in the table. Leaving them out is a judgement, so here is the judgement:

- Applicant tracking systems

Both People Also Ask blocks on this query are full of ATS and CRM questions, which tells you how blurred the line has become. An ATS is where the applicant lands. It is a different purchase, usually a bigger one, and comparing it to a creative tool helps nobody.

- Sourcing tools

Software that searches the public web for profiles and builds outbound lists is finding people, not advertising to them. Different buyer, different budget line, different SERP.

- General social media schedulers

The queueing tools marketing already pays for will post your vacancy perfectly well. They know nothing about a job, integrate with no applicant tracking system, and produce no creative, so they solve exactly one quarter of one of the four jobs.

- Consumer and e-commerce ad makers

Cheap tools that turn a product URL into a social ad now market themselves at hiring. They are built for selling objects. Nothing in them reads a vacancy or knows what a placement costs when the product is a job.

### Our own conflict of interest, stated plainly

RecruitmentAds.com is one of the twenty tools above. We sell software that turns a job post into ad creative, so our reading of this category is not neutral and there is no version of this page where it could be. What we can do is be checkable: every claim about every other tool links to that vendor's own page with the date we read it, our own row carries our own three limitations, and no vendor paid for placement or was told this page existed.

Two honest gaps. We did not run trials of the twenty products, so nothing here is a review of how they feel to use. And prices move: the figures were current on the dates shown and nowhere else.

## Frequently asked questions

### What are social media recruiting tools?

Software employers use to run hiring campaigns on social channels. Four different jobs sit under the phrase: making the creative, publishing it on a schedule, buying the media behind it, and catching the applicant. Most products do one of the four well and treat the rest as features.

### Which social media platform is best for recruitment?

The one your candidates already use, which changes by role rather than by industry. Professional and salaried hiring concentrates on LinkedIn; frontline, shift and trades hiring performs better on Meta and TikTok, where the audience is not in a professional mindset and the creative has to work with the sound off. Channel choice is the parent guide's subject, not this page's.

### What is the best social recruiting software?

There is no single answer, because the four jobs do not compete. For creative volume under brand control, look at the creative group. For always-on paid campaigns, the media-buying group. For organic posting from a job feed, the publishing group. Any list that ranks all of them one to ten is ranking things that do not substitute for each other.

### Are there free social media recruiting tools?

Genuinely free ones exist for pieces of the work: mockup and preview tools, template libraries, and the free tiers on general design and video products. Free platforms that run and optimise paid campaigns do not exist, because the media has a cost and somebody pays it. Watch for lists that answer this question with free trials.

### How much do social media recruiting tools cost?

Of the 20 tools in the table above, 6 publish a price at all. Those that do run from a free tier on general video tools, through subscriptions from €99 a month billed annually, to €490 per campaign per channel and $959 a month for the top published organic-publishing tier. The rest quote, and their real cost is usually a platform fee plus media spend plus a setup fee.

### Do you need an applicant tracking system to run social recruiting?

No, but half the tools in this category assume you have one. Publishing platforms and media buyers are usually driven by a job feed from the ATS, so without one you are either uploading jobs by hand or paying for an integration project. Creative tools have no such dependency: they read a vacancy URL or pasted text.

### What are the disadvantages of social media recruitment?

Three real ones. Attention is rented, so the moment budget stops the pipeline stops, unlike a job posting that sits and gets found. Creative decays, so the same ad run for six months costs more each week to deliver. And the feed reaches people who were not looking, which produces volume that has to be screened, which is why the fourth job in the list above exists at all.

### How can social media be used in recruiting?

Three ways, in ascending order of cost. Organic posting from company, careers and employee profiles, which is free and slow. Paid ads targeted at people who are not searching, which is fast and metered. And employer brand content that makes both of the first two work better. If you have not settled which channels to run yet, start with the [social media recruiting guide](https://recruitmentads.com/social-media-recruiting) and come back here with a shortlist.

## Start with the job you are short of

If it is media, the buying group above has nine vendors and eight of them will quote you. If it is creative, that is the part we do. Paste a vacancy link into RecruitmentAds.com and it comes back as a finished ad set, video and static, in every shape the specs table needs, inside your own template. Or start smaller and free: put the creative you already have into the mockup tool and see whether it survives the placement chrome.
