Adway alternative (2026): Adway vs RecruitmentAds

This page is about Adway (adway.ai), the Swedish AI social-recruiting platform. It is not about AdAway, the Android ad blocker.

Adway takes your ATS or career site and runs the whole social-recruiting programme: it generates always-on job ads and EVP video from your own content, then buys and manages the media across Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok and more. RecruitmentAds does one narrower job: it turns a single vacancy URL into a finished, on-brand ad-set (video in every standard format plus matching statics) that you or your agency run in your own ad accounts, with the visual source your choice per template: AI visuals, real employee photos, or approved assets only. The two also sell different units, which is what makes them easy to evaluate side by side: with RecruitmentAds one credit is one finished creative set for one vacancy (every standard format, matching statics, edits before export), and you can see that output on your own job link before you buy, while Adway's credit is a unit of currency (1 credit = €1) metered per second of video and per campaign action.

What each tool is

Adway

Adway is a Swedish AI social-recruiting platform, founded in Gothenburg in 2017. It syncs your ATS (30+ platforms claimed, 34 named on its integrations page) or crawls your career site, generates always-on job ads and EVP video from that content, and buys the social media to run them (Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, Google Ads, Reddit and Discord), with in-feed applications synced back to the ATS and spend forecasting on top. Adway reports 298 clients on its About page, ads served in 54 countries, a Fosway 9-Grid Core Leader placement five years running, and an official Adecco Group rollout across Adecco, Akkodis and LHH.

RecruitmentAds

RecruitmentAds is an AI recruitment-creative tool. Paste a vacancy URL and it returns a finished on-brand ad-set for that role (a recruitment video in 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 and landscape plus matching static versions), built inside a locked brand template, with AI voice-over and versions in any language. Marketing decides per template whether recruiters may use AI visuals generated from the job description, real employee photos in on-brand layouts, or approved assets only with no AI people. It does not buy media and it does not integrate natively with your ATS: you or your agency upload the exports to your own Meta and LinkedIn campaigns.

When Adway wins, and when RecruitmentAds wins

Both tools now let you start small: Adway with a 14-day free trial, RecruitmentAds with a 90-day pilot on live vacancies. The difference is what you evaluate: Adway's trial shows you the programme reading your career site and EVP, while RecruitmentAds shows you the finished ad-set for one of your own live roles, built from its job link, at a price attached to that finished set.

When Adway wins

You want the media bought, run and reported for you

Adway's programmatic buying, weekly auto-publishing across eight channel families and Predict spend forecasting are the product, not an add-on. RecruitmentAds hands you finished files and stops there. If nobody on your side wants to own a Meta or LinkedIn campaign, Adway is the right shape and we are the wrong one.

Your hiring is high-volume and ATS-driven, and every requisition must go live untouched

Adway auto-syncs vacancies from 30+ ATS platforms and can run on full autopilot, so a new frontline role can be advertising without a human opening a tool. RecruitmentAds needs a job link per vacancy and has no native ATS integration: deliberate for per-role craft, wrong for a thousand-requisition feed.

You need in-feed apply, scored talent pools, or a European enterprise procurement story

Social Apply syncing applications straight into the ATS, pre-engaged social talent pools, ISO 27001, five years of Fosway placement and an Adecco Group rollout are Adway's ground. RecruitmentAds has none of those and does not claim them.

When RecruitmentAds wins

You want the visual source to be a decision, not a default

RecruitmentAds asks which visuals a template may use: AI-generated scenes built from the job description, your real employees' photos placed in on-brand layouts, or approved assets only with no AI people at all. Adway derives creative from your career site and brand material into its own template system; no visual-source mode is offered.

You want the finished ads, and you want the price attached to the ad

One RecruitmentAds credit is one finished creative set: an approved video concept for that vacancy, every standard format, matching statics, and edits before export. Adway prices the parts instead. By its published rate card, AI video is 2 credits per second, an image ad is 5 credits, an always-on slot is 99 credits a month and an EVP scan is 20 credits, with 1 credit equal to €1 (adway.ai/pricing, 5 August 2026). Neither model is wrong; one is easier to forecast per vacancy.

You want your locked template, fonts and approved photos on every export

The brand template is locked, so a recruiter shipping a role at 4pm cannot pull random stock or drift the fonts. Custom and Scale plans include custom on-brand templates; Adway's own G2 reviewers (secondhand, 8 reviews) describe its templates as useful but "somewhat generic and require modifications to match organizational employer branding".

Who should pick what

Sole recruiter

A sole recruiter now has a route into Adway (a 14-day free trial with 100 credits, or Grow at €299/mo for 300 credits a month), but those credits are consumed by generation, distribution and messaging alike, so the honest question is how many finished ads a month you actually need; RecruitmentAds prices the finished ad-set itself and its Starter plan comes with a 90-day pilot on live vacancies.

TA team

For a TA team of 5–50 the honest split is volume against control: if you are pushing hundreds of ATS-driven requisitions and want them advertising automatically, Adway; if you are shipping a handful of roles a week and need each one on-brand, format-complete and predictable to budget, RecruitmentAds.

Employer-branding-led buyer

An employer-branding-led buyer should compare the two on who governs the visuals: Adway aligns campaigns to EVP pillars extracted from your career site and lets you review each ad before it goes live, while RecruitmentAds locks the template and makes the visual source (AI, real employee photos, or approved assets only) an explicit setting.

ComparisonAdwayRecruitmentAds
What it isAdway is a Swedish AI social-recruiting platform that syncs your ATS or career site and runs always-on multi-channel job ads with programmatic media buying included.RecruitmentAds is an AI creative tool that turns one vacancy URL into a finished on-brand recruitment ad-set (video in every standard format plus matching statics) for your team to run on Meta and LinkedIn.
How a vacancy gets inAdway ingests vacancies via ATS sync (30+ platforms claimed, 34 named) or a career-site crawl; its EB-flash module starts from a pasted career-site URL.RecruitmentAds starts from a vacancy URL or pasted job text and pulls the title, requirements, perks, logo, fonts and brand colours into your locked template.
Video outputAdway generates video: EB-flash produces EVP video from career-site content in 12 formats, and Always-On Job Ads include motion formats animated from statics.RecruitmentAds generates a recruitment video per vacancy with AI voice-over and exports 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 and landscape cuts from the same job link.
Static adsAdway produces static image and copy ad variants auto-adapted per channel: format, ratio, copy and pacing.RecruitmentAds includes matching static versions of the same concept in every finished creative set, so a video-vs-image test comes out of one credit.
Who runs the mediaAdway buys and publishes the paid social itself, across Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, Google Ads, Reddit and Discord, and its public pages document no way to export the creative and run it in your own ad account (checked 5 August 2026).RecruitmentAds hands over finished ad-sets that you or your agency upload to Meta or LinkedIn Campaign Manager; on published plans it does not buy or manage media, and the programmatic XML-to-Meta flow is an Enterprise-plan option.
Visual-source choiceAdway derives creative from your career site and brand material into its own template system; it does not offer a visual-source mode to choose between AI visuals, real employee photos, or approved assets only.RecruitmentAds makes the visual source a per-template setting: AI visuals built from the job description, real employee photos in on-brand layouts, or approved assets only with no AI people.
Brand governanceAdway offers partial brand governance: customisable Creative Studio templates, auto-versioning for global and local markets, and "review every ad before it goes live — or switch to full autopilot", but no locked approved-asset library.RecruitmentAds locks the brand template so recruiters export inside marketing's rules, ships custom on-brand templates on the Custom and Scale plans, and puts user roles and governance on the Enterprise plan.
ATS integrationAdway names 34 ATS integrations on its integrations page, including Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Greenhouse, Teamtailor and Bullhorn, claims auto-sync to 30+ ATS platforms, and meters access by tier: one ATS integration on Grow, unlimited on Scale.RecruitmentAds has no native ATS or Workday integration today; vacancies enter by URL or pasted text, and any ATS work would be a manual step in your process.
Languages and marketsAdway describes itself as multi-brand, multi-region and multi-language from one dashboard and serves ads in 54 countries, but publishes no explicit language list.RecruitmentAds exports on-screen text and AI voice-over in any language from the same job post and the same locked template, and prices in EUR, GBP or USD by region.
Published priceAdway publishes plan prices at adway.ai/pricing: a free 14-day trial with 100 credits, Grow at €299/mo (€239/mo billed annually), Scale at €799/mo (€639/mo annually) and a custom Enterprise tier. That page carries a noindex tag, sits outside Adway's sitemap and is not linked from its homepage as of 5 August 2026.RecruitmentAds publishes its employer and agency plan tiers, credit volumes and 90-day pilot terms on recruitmentads.com/pricing in EUR, GBP or USD.
What one credit buysAdway's credit is a unit of currency, "1 credit = 1 EUR in your billing currency", spent per action: 2 credits per second of AI video, 5 credits per image ad, 2 credits per always-on post, 99 credits a month per always-on slot, 50 credits a day for an EB-flash burst, from 395 credits per Boost campaign, and 20 credits for an EVP scan.A RecruitmentAds credit is a deliverable: one finished creative set for one vacancy, including every standard format, the matching statics and edits before final export.
How you try itAdway offers a 14-day free trial with no card and 100 credits, covering a career-site scan, EVP intake and a content-generation preview for one brand; its "Get started free" button currently resolves to a page titled "Book a demo".RecruitmentAds runs a 90-day pilot on your live vacancies, and will build a sample ad-set from a job link you bring to a 15-minute demo.
Best forAdway is best for European enterprise TA teams, staffing agencies and RPOs that want always-on social job advertising managed end-to-end.RecruitmentAds is best for in-house TA and employer-brand teams, and staffing agencies, that need a finished on-brand ad-set per vacancy while media buying and budget stay in their own hands.
Core marketAdway's core market is the Nordics, with UK, Poland and US reach via the Adecco Group partnership, serving ads in 54 countries.RecruitmentAds sells to EU, UK and US buyers with regional pricing in EUR, GBP and USD, and localises the same creative into any language rather than staffing regional teams.
Vendor scale and validationAdway has 51–100 employees per secondhand sources, has raised roughly US$14M including a €10M Series A led by Octopus Ventures in November 2022, and has held a Fosway 9-Grid Core Leader placement for five years.RecruitmentAds publishes neither a headcount nor an analyst placement; if a near-300-account reference base and analyst validation are procurement requirements, Adway meets them and RecruitmentAds does not.

What most Adway comparisons miss

Adway has prices, and almost every comparison you can find says it does not. As of 5 August 2026, adway.ai/pricing is live and shows the whole thing: a free 14-day trial with 100 credits, Grow at €299/mo, Scale at €799/mo, a custom Enterprise tier with volume discounts up to 30%, and a rate card down to 0.15 credits per SMS. The page carries a noindex tag, does not appear in Adway's 325-URL sitemap, and is not linked from the homepage (the "Get started free" button leads to a page titled "Book a demo"), which is why third-party write-ups, our own research file included, still describe Adway as quote-only. If you are evaluating Adway, go and read that page before your call.

Switching from Adway to RecruitmentAds

What changes

  • Media buying comes back in-house. Adway buys, publishes and optimises; RecruitmentAds delivers files. Someone on your side or at your agency needs to own the Meta and LinkedIn campaigns, the budget and the targeting.
  • Vacancy intake becomes a deliberate step. Instead of ATS auto-sync pushing every requisition into an always-on programme, a person pastes a job link when a role deserves creative.
  • The cadence changes from weekly always-on publishing to a finished ad-set per vacancy, with as many variants of that vacancy as you want to test.
  • You gain the visual-source decision (AI visuals, real employee photos, or approved assets only) as a template setting rather than a vendor default.
  • You lose in-feed Social Apply, scored talent pools and Predict spend forecasting. RecruitmentAds has no equivalent and does not pretend to.

What maps to what

  • Your EVP and brand material → your locked RecruitmentAds template (logo, fonts, colours, approved assets).
  • Adway's per-channel format matrix → RecruitmentAds exports in 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 and landscape plus matching statics from one job link.
  • Adway's auto-versioning for global and local markets → any-language on-screen text and AI voice-over from the same template.
  • Adway's "review every ad before it goes live" gate → preview before export, inside a template a recruiter cannot break.

What you keep

  • Your ATS, untouched. RecruitmentAds does not connect to it, so there is nothing to migrate or disconnect.
  • Your Meta and LinkedIn ad accounts, pixels, audiences and historical campaign data, because the ads run in your accounts.
  • Your media budget and channel mix, priced separately from software instead of bundled into a consumption quote.
  • Your career site, your approved photography and your existing employee-consent process.

Evaluate RecruitmentAds on your own vacancy

Take a live role (ideally one you are already advertising through Adway) and see what comes back. Bring the job link to a 15-minute demo and we build the ad-set on that vacancy: video in every standard format, matching statics, your fonts and colours, and your choice of AI visuals, real employee photos or approved assets only. That set is the unit you would be buying (one credit, one vacancy, formats and statics included), and the plan tiers and 90-day pilot terms are published, so you can price the decision against the roles you already have open.

Questions buyers actually ask

Is Adway a creative tool or a media-buying platform?

Both, sold as one thing. Adway generates job ad statics, copy variants and EVP video from your ATS or career site, then buys and manages the social media that runs them across Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, Google Ads, Reddit and Discord. That bundling is the main structural difference from a creative-only tool: with Adway the media runs through the vendor, with RecruitmentAds the finished ad-set runs in your own ad accounts.

What are the real alternatives to Adway?

It depends which half of Adway you are replacing. For the programmatic distribution half, Adway is usually named alongside Appcast, Joveo, Recruitics, PandoLogic, HeyJobs and Wonderkind. For the creative half (turning a role into on-brand video and static ads), RecruitmentAds is the closer comparison. Be careful with generic software lists: G2's Adway alternatives page surfaces HR and ATS products such as Paylocity, Employment Hero and JobDiva, which do not produce ad creative (checked 5 August 2026).

How much does Adway cost, and how do I compare it with RecruitmentAds?

Adway publishes prices at adway.ai/pricing, even though that page is unindexed and unlinked from its homepage: a free 14-day trial with 100 credits, Grow at €299/mo (€239/mo billed annually), Scale at €799/mo (€639/mo annually), and custom Enterprise pricing with volume discounts up to 30% (read 5 August 2026). The number that matters is not the subscription, though. It is the credit rate, because an Adway credit is €1 spent per action: 2 credits per second of AI video, 5 per image ad, 99 a month per always-on slot, 20 for an EVP scan. RecruitmentAds publishes its plan tiers and 90-day pilot terms too, but the unit is different: one credit is one finished creative set for one vacancy, formats, statics and edits included, and we will build a sample from your job link so you can see what that unit looks like before you buy.

Can I use Adway's creative in my own Meta or LinkedIn ad account?

Adway's public pages do not say either way, as of 5 August 2026: its creative is published by Adway across the channels it buys, and no export or download of the finished creative is documented on the Always-On Job Ads, EB-flash, Creative Studio or integrations pages. Ask them directly, and ask what happens to the files if the subscription stops. RecruitmentAds is export-first by design: you download the video formats and matching statics and upload them wherever you want, and on published plans nothing about your media buying runs through us.

We run an always-on, ATS-fed programme. Would RecruitmentAds replace it?

No. RecruitmentAds has no native ATS integration and does not buy media, so it cannot replace an always-on automated programme. It replaces the part where someone has to make the creative: one vacancy URL in, a finished on-brand video and static set out, with the visual source (AI visuals, real employee photos, or approved assets only) locked to what your brand allows. Teams that keep a distribution platform and use RecruitmentAds for the creative layer are a normal outcome of this comparison.

How we compared these two tools

Every Adway capability, price and company fact on this page was read from adway.ai, its own blog and its funding announcements on 5 August 2026, and is quoted as Adway's published claim rather than as a tested result; we do not have a paid Adway account. Review scores, headcount and total funding are secondhand from third-party aggregators and are labelled where they appear. Prices come from Adway's own pricing page, which is live but carries a noindex tag and is not linked from its homepage, so re-check it before you quote it back to anyone. RecruitmentAds facts come from our own published product and pricing pages.

  • Can the creative leave the platform? Adway's Always-On Job Ads, EB-flash, Creative Studio and integrations pages document no export or download of the finished ad creative (checked 5 August 2026), so ask directly whether you can download the ad files, run them in your own ad account, and keep them if the subscription ends.
  • Does the credit wallet cover the media spend, or only the platform actions? Adway's pricing page prices generation, distribution and candidate messages in credits but does not say whether the ad budget paid to Meta or LinkedIn comes out of the same wallet. Get that in writing before you compare totals.
  • Where do the visuals come from? A career-site crawl, a stock library, AI generation, or your own approved photography. And can you forbid the modes your legal team will not accept?
  • What is the first-year total? Include ad spend, onboarding and the minimum term, and convert the credit rate card into the number of finished ads you actually ship per month. Adway's Adecco rollout reference is "live and publishing in under 2 weeks once brand material is in place"; ask what your own onboarding looks like.
