HireLab alternative (2026): HireLab vs RecruitmentAds

This page is about HireLab at hirelab.io, the Dutch social-recruitment platform. It is not hirelab.ai (AI resume feedback for candidates), not hirelab.com (a Florida recruitment agency), not HireLabs, and not Indeed's Hiring Lab.

HireLab turns a job URL into a whole hiring funnel: a branded mobile landing page, image and video ads published into Facebook and Instagram, a WhatsApp AI bot that screens the applicants, and a built-in ATS to hold them, priced from €99 a month for Dutch SMEs and small agencies. RecruitmentAds does one narrower job: it turns a single vacancy URL into a finished, on-brand ad-set (a recruitment video in every standard format plus matching statics) that you or your agency run in your own Meta and LinkedIn accounts, with the visual source your choice per template: AI visuals built from the job description, real employee photos in on-brand layouts, or approved assets only with no AI people. Both publish their price lists, so the honest question is what one credit buys: on HireLab's rate card an image ad is 8 credits, a five-second video 15 and a ten-second video 25, with 2 credits to regenerate; a RecruitmentAds credit is one finished creative set for one vacancy (every standard format, matching statics and edits included), and we will build that set from your own job link before you buy.

What each tool is

HireLab

HireLab is a Dutch social-recruitment platform, founded in Amsterdam in 2022 and run by a team of two to ten people (LinkedIn, read 5 August 2026). Paste a vacancy URL or a job description and it assembles a branded recruitment landing page, image ads and (since a Creative Studio page published around 5 August 2026) video ads in vertical and square "Meta Ready" formats, then publishes the campaign into Facebook and Instagram from its Publish tier up, screens the applicants through smart forms and a WhatsApp AI bot, and files them in its own built-in ATS. It sells to Dutch SMEs and small recruitment agencies at €99/mo (Studio) and €179/mo (Publish) billed annually, with a custom Scale tier adding multi-client workspaces, white-labelling and external ATS integrations; its homepage claims 300+ companies, names PLUS, Henri Willig, Vergeer Holland, Motor City and Chainable, and offers a free first campaign.

RecruitmentAds

RecruitmentAds is an AI recruitment-creative tool. Paste a vacancy URL and it returns a finished on-brand ad-set for that role (a recruitment video in 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 and landscape plus matching static versions), built inside a locked brand template, with AI voice-over and versions in any language. Marketing decides per template whether recruiters may use AI visuals generated from the job description, real employee photos placed in on-brand layouts, or approved assets only with no AI people at all. It does not buy or publish media, it does not build landing pages or screen candidates, and it has no native ATS integration: you or your agency upload the exports to your own Meta and LinkedIn campaigns. Plan tiers, credit volumes and 90-day pilot terms are published on its pricing page.

When HireLab wins, and when RecruitmentAds wins

Both tools let you start small (HireLab with a free first campaign, RecruitmentAds with a 90-day pilot on live vacancies), and both publish their prices, so what differs is what you get to evaluate. HireLab's free campaign shows you the funnel end to end: ad, landing page, WhatsApp screen, ATS. RecruitmentAds shows you the finished ad-set for one of your own live roles, built from its job link, in every standard format, with the visual source you chose. That that set is the unit you would be buying.

When HireLab wins

You want one tool that carries the candidate past the click

HireLab's landing page, smart application form, WhatsApp AI screening bot and built-in ATS are the product, not add-ons; its homepage pitch is "stop losing 92% of your applicants", which is a conversion argument, not a creative one. RecruitmentAds hands you finished ad files and stops there: no landing page, no apply flow, no candidate records. If the weak link in your hiring is what happens after the click, HireLab is the right shape and we are the wrong one.

You have no ATS and do not want to buy one

A full ATS is included on every HireLab tier, starting at €99/mo billed annually, so a Dutch SME with a spreadsheet and a Facebook page can run the whole thing in one subscription. RecruitmentAds ships no ATS and has no native ATS integration: vacancies enter by URL or pasted text, and candidates never touch our product.

Your constraint is a small fixed monthly cost for a handful of image ads

HireLab publishes an entry tier at €99/mo billed annually with a free first campaign, and its rate card prices an image ad at 8 credits against the 100 credits listed on that tier. If a low fixed line item and a dozen or so statics a month is the brief, that is exactly what it is built for. RecruitmentAds is priced per finished creative set per vacancy and its published plans sit well above that entry point.

When RecruitmentAds wins

You want the visual source to be a decision, not a default

RecruitmentAds asks which visuals a template may use: AI-generated scenes built from the job description, your real employees' photos placed in on-brand layouts, or approved assets only with no AI people. Marketing locks the answer per template. HireLab's Creative Studio page describes a smart library that picks images to suit the job type and says nothing about where else visuals may come from, whether you can supply employee photography, or whether you can forbid a mode your legal team will not accept (read 5 August 2026).

You want your locked template, fonts and approved photos on every export

The RecruitmentAds brand template is locked, so a recruiter shipping a role at 4pm cannot pull random stock or drift the fonts, and Custom and Scale plans include a custom template built to your brand guidelines. HireLab offers pre-built customisable templates that keep your "company look and feel", plus white-labelling and custom domains on Scale; no locked template and no approval step appear on its published pages.

You want the finished ads as portable files, for LinkedIn as well as Meta

RecruitmentAds exports 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 and landscape video plus matching statics from one job link, and you upload them to your own Meta and LinkedIn campaigns: the files are yours, in your ad account, with your pixel and your audiences. On HireLab's price list, publishing is named for Facebook and Instagram only, its two published video lengths are five and ten seconds, and nothing on its product or pricing pages says whether you can download the creative and run it elsewhere.

Who should pick what

Sole recruiter

A sole recruiter filling frontline roles in the Netherlands is HireLab's core buyer: €99/mo billed annually, a free first campaign, and one place to run the ad, the landing page, the WhatsApp screen and the candidate list. RecruitmentAds is the better fit for a sole recruiter who already has an ATS and an ad account and whose actual bottleneck is making on-brand creative for each vacancy.

TA team

For a TA team of 5–50 the split is funnel against creative depth: if you need the applicant journey built for you and your hiring is high-volume frontline work, HireLab; if your funnel already works and every role needs a video and static set that survives marketing's review, on Meta and on LinkedIn, RecruitmentAds. A team running HireLab for the funnel and RecruitmentAds for the creative is a normal outcome of this comparison.

Employer-branding-led buyer

An employer-branding-led buyer should compare the two on who controls the visuals. RecruitmentAds locks the template and makes the visual source an explicit per-template setting (AI visuals, real employee photos, or approved assets only), while HireLab's published pages describe customisable templates plus a smart image library and disclose no visual-source control, no approved-assets-only mode and no approval step, so on a strict AI or portrait-rights policy, that is the first question to put to them.

ComparisonHireLabRecruitmentAds
What it isHireLab (hirelab.io, not the unrelated hirelab.ai or hirelab.com) is a Dutch social-recruitment platform that turns a vacancy URL into a branded landing page plus a Meta ad campaign, with WhatsApp AI screening and a built-in ATS behind it.RecruitmentAds is an AI creative tool that turns one vacancy URL into a finished on-brand recruitment ad-set (video in every standard format plus matching statics) for your team to run on Meta and LinkedIn.
How a vacancy gets inHireLab ingests a job or vacancy page URL, or a manually pasted job description, as the start of its campaign workflow.RecruitmentAds starts from a vacancy URL or pasted job text and pulls the title, requirements, perks, logo, fonts and brand colours into your locked template.
Video outputHireLab's Creative Studio page says it creates "image ads, video ads and social recruitment creatives in minutes" in vertical and square "Meta Ready" formats, and its price list meters video by length (15 credits for five seconds, 25 for ten), but that page carries no example video and had zero Wayback Machine captures when we checked it on 5 August 2026, and our sweep of the site the same day found no video examples elsewhere.RecruitmentAds generates a recruitment video per vacancy with AI voice-over and exports 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 and landscape cuts from the same job link, with published examples on its recruitment-video page.
Static adsHireLab generates static image ads as its core output since launch (template-based and AI-assembled from the job description plus your branding), priced at 8 credits each on its published rate card.RecruitmentAds includes matching static versions of the same concept in every finished creative set, so a video-versus-image test comes out of one credit.
What one credit buysA HireLab credit is metered per piece and per second: 8 credits for one image ad, 15 for a five-second video, 25 for a ten-second video and 2 to regenerate, against the 100 AI credits listed on its Studio and Publish tiers (hirelab.io/pricing-packages/, 5 August 2026).A RecruitmentAds credit is a deliverable: one finished creative set for one vacancy, including every standard format, the matching statics and edits before final export.
Where the ads runHireLab publishes campaigns to Facebook and Instagram through its own Ads & Campaign Manager from the Publish tier up; LinkedIn appears as a use-case page but is not named in the publishing on its pricing page, and TikTok is not mentioned.RecruitmentAds hands over finished ad-sets that you or your agency upload to Meta or LinkedIn Campaign Manager; on published plans it does not buy or manage media, and the programmatic XML-to-Meta flow is an Enterprise-plan option.
Visual-source choiceHireLab describes a smart library that knows which images suit which type of job page, plus customisable templates and your uploaded brand assets; no employee-photo workflow and no approved-assets-only mode appear on its published pages as of 5 August 2026.RecruitmentAds makes the visual source a per-template setting: AI visuals built from the job description, real employee photos placed in on-brand layouts, or approved assets only with no AI people.
Brand governanceHireLab offers pre-built customisable templates that keep your "company look and feel", plus white-labelling and custom domains on its Scale tier; no locked template, approved-asset library or approval step is published.RecruitmentAds locks the brand template so recruiters export inside marketing's rules and includes a custom on-brand template on its Custom and Scale plans; it does not offer approval workflows or role-based access controls.
Landing page and apply flowHireLab builds mobile recruitment landing pages, smart application forms with screening logic and WhatsApp AI screening bots, and white-label landing pages on custom domains for agencies.RecruitmentAds builds none of that: the ads point at your own career site or job page, and the application journey stays in the tools you already use.
ATSHireLab ships its own built-in ATS on every tier and names only Personio as an example external ATS integration on its custom-priced Scale tier; the full integration list is unpublished as of 5 August 2026.RecruitmentAds has no ATS and no native ATS or Workday integration today; vacancies enter by URL or pasted text, and any ATS work is a manual step in your process.
Languages and marketsHireLab publishes its site in English and Dutch with a large Dutch SME blog cluster and Dutch customer logos; it publishes no language list for the platform's own output.RecruitmentAds exports on-screen text and AI voice-over in any language from the same job post and the same locked template, and prices in EUR, GBP or USD by region.
Published priceHireLab publishes its prices: Studio at €99/mo and Publish at €179/mo billed annually, a custom Scale tier, add-ons at €25/mo per extra active campaign and €50/mo per extra workspace, and a credit rate card, with a free first campaign offered on its homepage.RecruitmentAds publishes its employer and agency plan tiers, credit volumes and 90-day pilot terms on recruitmentads.com/pricing in EUR, GBP or USD.
How you try itHireLab offers a free first campaign as its acquisition hook and claims you can launch in under 15 minutes; nothing on its site shows a generated video before you sign up.RecruitmentAds runs a 90-day pilot on your live vacancies, and will build a sample ad-set from a job link you bring to a 15-minute demo.
Best forHireLab is best for Dutch SMEs and small agencies that want one inexpensive end-to-end tool: ads, landing pages, WhatsApp screening and a built-in ATS.RecruitmentAds is best for in-house TA and employer-brand teams, and staffing agencies, that need a finished on-brand ad-set per vacancy while distribution, budget and candidate data stay in their own stack.
Core marketHireLab's core market is the Netherlands, with an explicit Dutch SME ("mkb") focus, Dutch customer logos and an English-language international site alongside it.RecruitmentAds sells to EU, UK and US buyers with regional pricing in EUR, GBP and USD, and localises the same creative into any language rather than staffing regional teams.
Vendor scale and validationHireLab is a two-to-ten-person company founded in Amsterdam in 2022 (LinkedIn, 5 August 2026), claims 300+ companies on its homepage, and has no funding on record and effectively no third-party review base.RecruitmentAds publishes neither a headcount nor an analyst placement; if a large reference base or analyst validation is a procurement requirement, neither of these two tools will satisfy it.

What most HireLab comparisons miss

HireLab publishes a credit rate card, and no comparison we can find quotes it. On 5 August 2026, hirelab.io/pricing-packages/ prices one image ad at 8 credits, a five-second video at 15, a ten-second video at 25 and a correction at 2, against the 100 AI credits listed on both the €99 Studio and the €179 Publish tier. That is the number that decides whether the subscription is cheap for you: roughly a dozen statics a month is comfortable, and a video-led programme is not. Go and read that table before your call, and ask whether the credits recur monthly, because the page does not say.

Switching from HireLab to RecruitmentAds

What changes

  • The funnel goes back to your own stack. HireLab hosts the landing page, the application form, the WhatsApp screening and the candidate records; RecruitmentAds delivers creative files only. Before you move, decide where applications will land.
  • Publishing becomes your step. HireLab pushes campaigns into Facebook and Instagram from its own campaign manager; with RecruitmentAds you or your agency upload the exports to your own Meta and LinkedIn accounts.
  • The unit of purchase changes from metered pieces to finished sets. Instead of 8 credits an image ad and 25 a ten-second video, one credit is one finished creative set for one vacancy: every standard format, matching statics and edits included.
  • You gain the visual-source decision (AI visuals, real employee photos, or approved assets only) as a template setting rather than a vendor default, and a locked template a recruiter cannot drift.
  • LinkedIn joins Meta as a target, in your own ad account, with your own pixel and audiences.

What maps to what

  • Your HireLab brand elements and customised templates → your locked RecruitmentAds template (logo, fonts, colours, approved assets).
  • HireLab's vertical and square "Meta Ready" formats → 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 and landscape video plus matching statics from one job link.
  • HireLab's smart image library → your visual-source setting: AI visuals from the job description, real employee photos in on-brand layouts, or approved assets only.
  • HireLab's Dutch and English site → on-screen text and AI voice-over in any language from the same template.
  • HireLab's job-URL intake → the same job URL, or pasted job text, into RecruitmentAds.

What you keep

  • Your Meta ad account, pixel, audiences and campaign history, because the ads run in your accounts either way.
  • Your career site and vacancy pages. RecruitmentAds points its ads at them rather than replacing them.
  • Your media budget and channel mix, priced separately from software.
  • Your approved photography and your existing employee-consent process, which the employee-photo mode is built to use.
  • Your own ATS, if you kept one alongside HireLab. RecruitmentAds does not connect to it, so there is nothing to migrate or disconnect.

What review sites report about HireLab

Read on 5 August 2026. Two warnings before you use any of this: the sample sizes are tiny, and several review pages that rank for "hirelab reviews" belong to different companies with similar names.

Capterra (UK) · reported 2026-08-05

5.0 out of 5 from 1 review, with a €99 starting price listed

Capterra (US) · reported 2026-08-05

G2 · reported 2026-08-05

"Rated 0.0 stars by 0 verified reviews" per its indexed seller page; a separate G2 "Top 10 Hirelab Alternatives" page ranks page-one. A direct fetch returned HTTP 403, so we could not confirm the listing is hirelab.io rather than one of the same-name companies.

Aggregator stubs (Crozdesk, Krowdbase, Serchen, SourceForge, PeerSpot, SoftwareSuggest) · reported 2026-08-05

Evaluate RecruitmentAds on your own vacancy

Take a live role (ideally one you are already advertising through HireLab) and see what comes back. Bring the job link to a 15-minute demo and we build the ad-set on that vacancy: video in 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 and landscape, matching statics, your fonts and colours, AI voice-over in the language you hire in, and your choice of AI visuals, real employee photos or approved assets only. That set is the unit you would be buying (one credit, one vacancy, formats and statics included), and our plan tiers and 90-day pilot terms are published, so you can price the decision against the roles you already have open.

Questions buyers actually ask

Which HireLab is this, and what does it actually do?

The vendor here is HireLab at hirelab.io: a Dutch social-recruitment platform, founded in Amsterdam in 2022, that turns a vacancy URL into a branded mobile landing page plus image and video ads published into Facebook and Instagram, screens the applicants with smart forms and a WhatsApp AI bot, and stores them in its own built-in ATS. At least six other live companies use the name: hirelab.ai (AI resume feedback for candidates, which currently outranks hirelab.io on the brand term), hirelab.com (a Florida recruitment agency), hirelabllc.com, HireLab Recruitment in Cebu, a life-science Hirelab™, and Indeed's Hiring Lab. Aggregator profiles are unreliable for the same reason: G2 lists HireLab alternatives that are HR and ATS products, and Krowdbase lists landing-page builders.

Does HireLab really generate video ads?

It says so, and it prices it. HireLab's Creative Studio page claims "image ads, video ads and social recruitment creatives in minutes" in vertical and square "Meta Ready" formats, and its price list meters video by length: 15 credits for a five-second video, 25 for a ten-second one. What is missing is evidence: we found no example video anywhere on hirelab.io on 5 August 2026, the Creative Studio page had zero Wayback Machine captures when we checked, and its sitemap dated the page to the same day. We have not seen the output, so we do not claim it is absent or weak. Ask for two samples on your own vacancy: one generated from the job URL alone, one using your brand assets. RecruitmentAds publishes video examples built from real vacancies and will make one from your job link before you buy.

How much does HireLab cost, and how do I compare that with RecruitmentAds?

HireLab publishes its plans (Studio €99/mo and Publish €179/mo billed annually, Scale on request, plus €25/mo per extra active campaign and €50/mo per extra workspace) and, unusually, a credit rate card: 8 credits for an image ad, 15 for a five-second video, 25 for a ten-second video, 2 to regenerate, against the 100 AI credits listed on Studio and Publish. So the subscription is not the number that matters; the credit is. RecruitmentAds publishes plan tiers, credit volumes and 90-day pilot terms too, but its unit is different: one credit is one finished creative set for one vacancy (every standard format, matching statics and edits before export), and we will build that set from your job link so you can see what the unit looks like before you pay for it.

Can I run HireLab's ads on LinkedIn, or in my own ad account?

Its published pages do not say, as of 5 August 2026. The publishing named on HireLab's pricing page is Facebook and Instagram; LinkedIn exists as a use-case page but not as a named publishing channel, and nothing on its product or pricing pages states whether you can download the creative, run it in your own ad account, or keep it after cancelling. Both are worth asking directly. RecruitmentAds is export-first by design: you download the video formats and matching statics and upload them to your own Meta or LinkedIn campaigns, and on published plans nothing about your media buying runs through us.

We use HireLab's landing pages and built-in ATS. Would RecruitmentAds replace it?

No. RecruitmentAds makes creative only (no landing pages, no application forms, no WhatsApp screening, no ATS, no native ATS integration), so it cannot replace HireLab end to end. It replaces the part where someone has to make the ads: one vacancy URL in, a finished on-brand video and static set out, in every standard format for Meta and LinkedIn, with the visual source locked to what your brand allows. Plenty of teams keep a funnel platform and use RecruitmentAds for the creative layer, and if you leave HireLab entirely, ask first how you export your candidate records.

How we compared these two tools

Every HireLab capability, price and company fact on this page was read from hirelab.io on 5 August 2026 and is quoted as HireLab's published claim, not as a tested result; we do not have a paid HireLab account and we have not seen its generated output. Its pricing page, Creative Studio page and ATS page were fetched directly during production; the company facts are secondhand from LinkedIn, and the review figures are third-party and labelled where they appear. Note that HireLab's Creative Studio page had zero Wayback Machine captures when we checked, and its page sitemap showed a last-modified date of 5 August 2026, so the video-ads claim is days old at most and its depth is unknown to us. RecruitmentAds facts come from our own published product and pricing pages.

  • Ask to see a generated video before you sign anything. HireLab prices video by length on its rate card (15 credits for five seconds, 25 for ten), so the capability is priced, not merely claimed, but we found no example video on its site on 5 August 2026 and the page making the claim is new. Ask for two: one from a job URL with no photos, one with your own brand assets.
  • Ask whether the 100 AI credits are per month or one-off. HireLab's pricing page lists "100 AI credits" on both the Studio and Publish tiers without a period, and the same page prices a regenerate at 2 credits, so the number of finished ads a plan actually yields, after corrections, is the figure to pin down in writing.
  • Ask whether you can download the creative and run it in your own ad account, and whether you keep the files if you cancel. HireLab's published pages do not answer either question (checked 5 August 2026), and its creative exists to feed its own funnel and ATS.
  • Ask whether LinkedIn ad publishing exists. HireLab has a LinkedIn marketing use-case page, but the publishing named on its pricing page is Facebook and Instagram. If LinkedIn is where your candidates are, get the answer before you compare tools.
  • Ask which external ATSs are supported and on which tier. Personio is the only one named, external integrations sit on the custom-priced Scale tier, and the full list is unpublished. If you adopt HireLab's built-in ATS instead, ask how you export candidate records if you leave.
  • Ask where the visuals come from and what you can forbid. A smart image library, AI generation, your own uploads, or your employees' photography are four different answers with four different legal reviews.
