Grant Thornton: 4:5 feed ad for an Economic Consulting Analyst role, Facebook
Made with RecruitmentAds.com. Facebook Feed, 4:5, 12 seconds.
A Facebook ad, built for the placement it is shown in, at the ratio Meta recommends for it.
The ratio
4:5 is what Meta recommends for this placement, and the tallest of the four ratios it supports there. At a given feed width it stands 25% taller than a square cut of the same footage.
The hook
A purple panel wipes down over a yellow band and the line "Join Grant Thornton as Economic Consulting Analyst" is already set at half a second. By two seconds a consultant has appeared in the curved cutout below it, smiling at the lens, with the Grant Thornton mark parked bottom left.
Why it works
A cold feed gives you one frame to earn a second one, and this ad spends it on the firm and the job rather than on mood. The curved cutout is a real Grant Thornton asset, not a stock motion template, so it reads as the firm before anyone looks for a logo. Then it sells before it qualifies: brand and person first, the role and two facts second, audit, tax and advisory, and London hybrid.
What we would change
Everything a candidate has to read is on the creative, which is right, because Meta publishes no point at which Facebook cuts your primary text. Twelve seconds is still generous for a feed. We would cut to eight and move the London line earlier: location filters a cold audience faster than a responsibility line.
