Questions and answers
Recruitment process outsourcing is a contract under which an outside provider runs part or all of an employer's recruiting: sourcing, screening, scheduling, offers and reporting, often with the provider's recruiters working under the employer's brand. It is a delivery model, not a marketing service. The provider is paid to run hiring, not per placement, and the employer keeps the hiring decisions.
In recruiting, RPO means a provider that takes over the recruiting process for some or all of a company's roles, under a contract that usually runs for years. The same letters mean something else in IT, where RPO is a data-recovery target, and in American football. Every page on this site spells the term out as recruitment process outsourcing to avoid that mix-up.
A staffing agency finds candidates for a role and is paid a fee when one is placed, or a margin on contract hours. An RPO provider runs your recruiting process as a service, on a management fee, a cost per hire or a hybrid, and its team works inside your process and brand. Many staffing groups own an RPO practice; the profile names the parent where that is the case.
Providers describe four: a monthly management fee for a dedicated team, a cost per hire, a fee per full-time recruiter placed with you, and a hybrid of a base fee plus a per-hire element. Project RPO for a fixed ramp is usually priced as a project. Very few providers publish figures, so we invent none. Each profile records the model the provider publishes, or says not published.
Use the hiring volume filter on this page. It shows only providers that state a volume band on their own site, and most do not. Where a provider names enterprise or high-volume RPO on its pages we record it; where it does not, the profile says not published, and the right move is to ask the provider directly for references at your volume.
No provider on this page publishes a cost per hire, and we do not invent one. The price depends on your hiring volume, the roles, the countries you hire in, how much of the process the provider runs, and whether media spend is included or billed at cost. Providers quote after scoping. Ask for the pricing model, what is inside the fee, and what happens when volume drops.
Claim it with a work email on your company domain. A claim lets you correct the facts and add the engagement models, pricing model, volume band, delivery geography, logo, contact and more work. Listing is free and editorial, and a claim never changes your position on this page.
